Marla Banks received her B.S.Ed. From Hofstra University and her M.S. Ed. in early childhood from Long Island University. Marla continued furthering her education and currently holds 60 credits above her masters degree.
Marla is a 4th grade teacher in Rockland County, NY. Marla has been fortunate to teach regular education classes as well as inclusion classes over the last 27 years. The summer enrichment program has also been part of her life for many years. There she’s worked with children entering grade 2-4, mainly in math. Marla looks forward to helping children gain academic confidence as they work throughout each school year. Children work best when they’re comfortable, confident, and happy!
Susan Slaybaugh received her B.S.Ed. from the University of Georgia and an M.S.Ed. from the College of New Rochelle. Additionally, she earned an extra 60 credits in graduate education courses. Susan retired from the Nanuet School District in 2019 after 35 years of teaching. She has taught in various capacities in grades 1-5, including regular education, inclusion classes, remedial math, and summer enrichment. Since retiring, Susan continues to tutor students in grades K-3 in the areas of reading, writing and math.
